Legion, Nightwing and more geekly News Round-Up!

We get our first look at Cable, hear Iris West talk and more in this week, packed with awesome superhero movie news!

Legion Season 2

Legion Season 2

Legion was one of the most stunningly looking and all out different superhero shows of all time, when it premiered on the FX network.
Now season two is coming at us next year and of course fans are speculating at what we might see in the continuation of David Haller's adventures... maybe the iconic Legion hair... or accurate comic based X-Men suits?
Actor Dan Stevens, David himself, talked a bit about this.

"There's some cool outfits that we haven't seen; there's some hair that we've got to work up to; there's also some locations...there's some stuff in Tibet in the comics, I wouldn't be adverse to it."

Aubrey Plaza, who played Lenny in season one, talked a bit about another story possibility for season two:

"There's Farouk's [The Shadow King] family. Let's brig the family in, see where this b#%h comes from."

Fun possibilities to be sure. I really hope they will go deeper into the relationship between David and his father Professor X himself!

Nightwing Director Talks

Nightwing Director Talks

Chris McKay, director of the Lego Batman Movie, has been announced as the director of the Nightwing live action film a few months ago, but fans have been scratching their heads while there hasn't been any talk about the film and not even a logo at DC's SDCC presentation in hall H.
The director now answered that question via Twitter.

"I've turned down films because they were backed into a release date that made it difficult to make a great film. This isn't going to be like that. I want this movie to blow you away. We need time to get it right."

I think this is absolutely the right approach for any movie and as I am very excited to finally see a real Nightwing movie, I am glad that they are taking their time to do it right!

Flashpoint Movie Will Feature Gal Gadot

Flashpoint Movie Will Feature Gal Gadot

DC Comics announced their Ezra Miller Flash movie to be turned into a Flashpoint film, during their SDCC 17 panel. This has comic fans foaming at the mouth, since Flashpoint is easily one of the best Flash stories ever and does feature a lot of potential cameos for other DC Comics favorites, like Henry Cavill's Superman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Batman (you read that right) and more!
Forbes now revealed that Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Wonder Woman in Flashpoint, which is the first confirmation we have that we will see DC characters other than Barry Allen, just like in the comics.

"Gadot is also expected to reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the upcoming production of Flashpoint, which will be Flash's solo movie but is also more of another superhero team-up featuring several additional DC superheroes. Flashpoint is currently scheduled to release in 2020. So we'll see Wonder Woman twice this year, again in 2019, and in 2020. That's an average of one appearance every year, and it means Wonder Woman could potentially appear in as many different films as Batman will over the course of the next few years in the DCEU."

Cable Unveiled For Deadpool 2

Cable Unveiled For Deadpool 2

Jeff Brolin's Cable has finally been revealed, by Ryan Reynolds' and the official Deadpool movie twitter accounts. Check it out above!
Reynolds tweeted:

"We all have that one, grumpy, heavily armed Uncle from the future."

We will see Cable in Deadpool 2 next year, alongside Reynolds' Wayne Wilson and I couldn't be more excited, as Cable is one of my favorite X-characters!

Iris West Actress Talks Justice League/Flash

Iris West Actress Talks Justice League/Flash

Kiersey Clemons has been cast as Iris West over a year ago, but with the Flash movie being pushed back again and again (due to losing several already attached directors), the whole superhero movie experience might be more of an annoying ride for the young actress so far. She recently talked about that with Comingsoon.net and also about her introduction into this new world via Zack Snyder's Justice League movie, which recently did some reshoots.

"I finished all my stuff with Zack [Snyder], I wish him well and I have no idea what’s going on right now but I’m sure whatever they’re doing is necessary. I know the parts that I did introducing Iris are fucking sick. I can’t wait to see the movie. I’m so happy that I’ve been introduced to this genre because I didn’t really have any type of desire to be a part of any superhero world. And then I stepped on the set of 'Justice League' and I was like, 'Holy shit. Alright!'"

When asked about Flash hopefully shooting soon, she seemed to be relatively relaxed about the delays.

"I’m gonna finish up the year, and then by January if we aren’t gonna go on The Flash I will probably get back to writing and then take a little break."

Sounds great. Can't wait to see her Iris, as she was amazing in Rick Famuyiwa's Dope last year.
